Our Food, Our Freedom

USDA funding cuts and other federal changes to legislation have impacted many food producers and initiatives for support, creating heavy losses for our farm communities that put all of our hard work at risk. At OurSpace World, we have decided not to allow this setback to prevent us from doing what we’ve always done, which is support our farmers, educators, and land stewards. We need each other now more than ever.

OurSpace is an ecosystem leader, successfully advocating to bridge the gap in equitable access to federal resources while fostering a global network of Black farmers, educators, and organizers. We train leaders across the Black Diaspora in growing food, community organizing, navigating institutions, and moving resources.

We take a holistic and intergenerational approach to creating health and building thriving communities through several core initiatives including: Black Land Brigades, the Black Food Truck, and The Calabash Network.
