Châteaux Cocoa

Châteaux Cocoa is a Black woman-led urban farm and apiary located on approximately 0.45 acre in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. We produce raw honey, vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, seedlings, and pollinator plants using pesticide-free growing practices.

What began as a small farm has grown into a working agricultural space with 12 beehives, seasonal growing areas, farmers-market operations, and hands-on educational programming. We sell our products at farmers markets, pop-ups, community events, through online orders, and directly from the farm by appointment.

Châteaux Cocoa also introduces children and community members to farming, beekeeping, pollination, and local food production. Revenue generated through our honey and farm-product sales is reinvested into farm operations, helps us employ a local farmer, and supports our children’s agricultural programming.

Through our Give 8/28 campaigns, supporters can help us strengthen the equipment, labor, and educational resources that make this work possible. Donations are received and administered through our fiscal sponsor in support of Châteaux Cocoa’s community-serving farm work.
