Ad Astra Farms Mutual Aid

Ad Astra Farms launched its first ever mutual aid program in 2025. This was a formalization of a practice that existed in our CSA from day one: people donating shares of our CSA to their neighbors in need. The program was a success, connecting over 20 households with donated CSA shares (produce subscriptions) ranging from 4 to 20 weeks at no cost to them. Now, Ad Astra is partnering with OurSpace World to raise funds to feed the DMV again in 2026 and beyond! Your donation is tax-deductible and goes directly to the cost of growing and providing a member of the Ad Astra Farms Mutual Aid Network with local, nutrient-dense produce. Our Network is made up of people in the gap between public assistance and hunger, supporting members in stretching their benefit dollars as well as helping those who don't qualify for public assistance, but are food insecure nonetheless.
