HIGH VOLTAGE GIVE 8/28 CAMPAIGN 2026

High Voltage is proud to celebrate Give 8/28, the National Day of Giving for Black-led nonprofits during Black Philanthropy Month.  Our goal is to raise $828 to support Legacy Lines, our intergenerational creative-aging project in New Orleans.

Founded in 2003, High Voltage is a volunteer-driven organization committed to provideng educational and recreational programs for youth, families, and senior citizens. Through intergenerational initiatives, we work to strengthen well-being, connection, and opportunity across our community.

Legacy Lines is a six-week program that introduces New Orleans seniors to journaling and drawing. Participants use mixed-media techniques to document personal memories, cultural traditions, and family histories. Rooted in New Orleans’ rich storytelling legacy, the project empowers older adults to preserve their voices, share their wisdom, and build meaningful connections with younger generations.

This year’s Give 8/28 theme honors the people, partnerships, and shared commitment that make lasting change possible. From nonprofit leaders and volunteers to donors, advocates, and community champions, every act of generosity helps strengthen our communities. 🤝✨

Together, we are grounded in purpose and empowered by the collective power of community. Please consider making a gift today to support High Voltage and our community initiatives.

Your donation over our goal will help make programs like these possible:

Community outreach events for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Mardi Gras

Legacy Lines senior art and storytelling project

Senior meals for 100 senior citizens

Thank you for investing in our community and helping us create a lasting impact.
