JosiahKids Community Thrives Fundraising Campaign!

JosiahKids was founded to rewrite a story. A story that is now changing destinies!

As her mother’s casket was being lowered into the ground, a heartbroken teen watched in slow motion as her father threw his hands up in a rage and stormed off—for good. As her broken heart pounded out of her chest, her grief filled eyes remained fixed on her little sisters only 11, 12 and 15, who wept uncontrollably--their weak knees giving way. Nothing could describe the dread that gripped this wounded girl, as she slowly walked away from that grave into what felt like a tormented black hole of a future. 

Marlene Maina rose from the ashes of homelessness, broke free from the grip of despair, turning her pain into purpose. Leaving a successful career in Cooperate America, Marlene and her husband Newton founded JosiahKids, The School of Young Leaders to equip young students for life’s difficult seasons.

Since 2018 JosiahKids has been empowering and educating children and youth in leadership, finances, discipleship, business, athletics, public speaking, community service, and the arts.

We have desperately outgrown our space however. Our current location has no field for fitness, and the stage we use can no longer accommodate our performing arts program. We have increased enrollment by 400%, and our classrooms are no longer able to accommodate break out sessions for our middle, high, and elementary school students. This grant will help us scale, expand, and find a new home for our growing organization.

Your donations have helped us give our community of young students and teens a safe place where they are discovering purpose, elevating creativity, healing emotional wounds, learning the value of expression, and thriving to reach their highest potential.
