Based in the metro ATLANTA area, JosiahKids is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the mission of educating, empowering, and equipping young students and teens in the local community in the areas of faith, leadership, community service, and the arts.

OUR STORY

JosiahKids Incorporated opened its doors on September 15th, 2018 as a simple neighborhood classroom with eleven students--in their dining room in Buford, Georgia. Today JosiahKids has grown into what we now know as The School of Young Leaders. Rather than wait until children are trapped in risky behaviors leading to costly interventions, JosiahKids is on a preventative mission to raise the next generation of service-minded leaders. Newton and Marlene Maina founded JosiahKids because they deeply believe that every child deserves to cross the finish line of childhood, loved, supported and empowered to make a meaningful life, as well as a meaningful difference. 

OUR IMPACT

Since September of 2018, we have asked you to join us on the mission of raising the next generation of service-minded leaders. Thanks to your belief in our work and your generous giving we are doing just that. You have helped us:

• Obtain an additional exemption from the State of Georgia allowing us to offer classes at a second location.
• More than triple the number of classes we offer per school year— from 15 to 60.
• Establish a new partnership with the Young Chefs Academy—a premier cooking school, adding to the life skills of our elementary school students.
• Increase our impact in the community from one to three community service projects a year, serving the poor and underserved in our county.
• Introduce diversified marketing strategies to increase our reach and impact.

All support raised here will go to our operating expenses, covering the cost of renting classroom space at George Pierce for the 23/24 school year.
