Equipping Châteaux Cocoa

Every jar of honey sold by Châteaux Cocoa helps sustain our farm, employ a local farmer, and provide children with hands-on education in farming, beekeeping, bees, and pollination. By increasing our honey-processing capacity, we can generate more revenue to support these essential farm and community programs.

We harvest honey from our own apiary and sell directly to customers through farmers markets, pop-ups, community events, and online orders. I currently handle the farm’s honey processing myself, with help from volunteers when they are available. Because much of the work is completed manually, processing can be physically demanding, time-consuming, and limited by the amount of assistance available.

Specialized equipment will allow us to process larger batches more efficiently, maintain consistent quality, reduce repetitive manual labor, and make better use of the honey produced by our bees. This investment will strengthen Châteaux Cocoa’s farm-to-market operations while helping us continue creating local employment and meaningful agricultural experiences for children.

Châteaux Cocoa is raising $1,000 to purchase specialized honey-processing equipment priced at approximately $899, with the remaining funds applied toward delivery. Donations will be received and administered through our fiscal sponsor in support of Châteaux Cocoa’s farm-based work. Contributions beyond our $1,000 goal will support stainless-steel honey sieves, jars, lids, labels, and other essential processing supplies.
