Support Young Black Girls Mental Health!

Hello! My name is Sophia Flowers, and I’m a member of the HER Voice Youth Board. I joined because I wanted to bring leadership and awareness to the mental health of Black girls. Growing up, I’ve always been sensitive and extremely shy. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found that other young Black girls like me struggle with similar experiences. I wanted to be a part of a positive change that will make mental health a more open conversation, especially in the Black community.

I believe every young Black girl deserves to have a safe space to share her thoughts and emotions and have access to resources that help her feel supported! MH Boxes provides different outlets of comfort, like stickers, affirmation cards, and other sensory items. One of my personal favorites is the plush squishy ball, which has helped me through difficult moments!
