For nearly 30 years, the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA) has been building healthier communities by protecting, preserving, and restoring the natural resources of Atlanta's watersheds. As a Black-led environmental nonprofit, we connect people to nature through environmental education, stewardship, environmental justice, and environmental science. From operating the Outdoor Activity Center and co-stewarding Atlanta's Children's Forest Network to engaging youth, families, and community leaders, WAWA empowers residents with the knowledge and tools to create healthier, more resilient neighborhoods.

This Give 8/28, our goal is to raise $2,500 by August 28 to expand our outreach and advocacy throughout Metro Atlanta. Your support will help launch the WAWA Community Street Team, increase our presence at neighborhood events, create new educational and advocacy materials, and engage more residents where they live, learn, work, and gather.
