My commitment to service is rooted in the example set by my mother, whose life has been dedicated to advocating for women, girls, families, and healthier communities. Even in retirement, she continues that legacy through advocacy for retired state employees and the blind, teaching me that service is not simply something we do, but a responsibility we carry forward.

I serve through NC100BW Dallas because I believe leadership means creating access, opening doors, and building pathways for those who come behind us. Black women have long demonstrated the power of education, civic engagement, and showing up for the change we want to see in our communities, yet access and opportunity are not always equitable. Investing in Black women and girls strengthens families, communities, and future generations.
