At Manasota ASALH, we know that preserving Black history is inseparable from preparing the next generation to make history of their own. For us, this means investing in young people across Manatee and Sarasota Counties through two life-changing programs: our Freedom School and our Scholarship Program.

Every story we tell, every student we inspire, every history we preserve is possible because of supporters like you.

Through our both of our pograms, we’ve reached over 600 students, teaching them the stories and legacies too often left out of textbooks. And with your support, we’ve awarded more than $775,000 in scholarships, opening doors to brighter futures.

But there is still so much more to do. Every gift helps us inspire the next generation, preserve local history, and create opportunities that change lives.
