Did you know that it can take as many as 10 to 15 generations for black families to escape poverty? It's a harsh reality, especially in the Metro-Atlanta area, which has been named one of the toughest places for solo parents by MagnifyMoney. But guess what? We're not sitting idly by – we're stepping up to make a change, and we need YOUR help!

Introducing Jasmine. She's a single parent who was forced to leave Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina hit. With no family support, she found it incredibly tough to get back on her feet. Trying to complete her Dental Hygiene associates degree program and make ends meet became an uphill battle. The soaring costs of childcare even forced her to take her son out of a daycare he adored, and eventually led her to lose her job because she had to bring her son to work. It was a tough spot, but then something amazing happened – she found H.O.P.E!

People like you stepped in and made a world of difference in Jasmine's life. Supporters restored her son's childcare and provided her with $400 a month in ongoing rent assistance. Thanks to investors of H.O.P.E'S support, Jasmine was able to finish her Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2021. Fast forward to 2023, and she's now earning over $50,000 more annually than when she first enrolled in the H.O.P.E, Inc. program. Her life has been transformed, and the same goes for her son. It's all thanks to amazing people like yourself.

H.O.P.E. is an incredible organization based in Atlanta, GA, primarily serving the Black community. It is predominately black-led and are dedicated to helping single parents break the cycle of poverty through education. Their participants are 95% African American, and they work tirelessly to ensure these parents can obtain their college degrees. By doing so, H.O.P.E. opens doors of access not just for the parents, but for their children as well. They're creating a ripple effect of generational success for people of color.

So, here's where you come in! We're celebrating #Give828, and we want you to join us in supporting H.O.P.E.'s mission. Your donation will make a huge difference in the lives of single parents like Jasmine and their children. Together, we can help break the chains of poverty, provide opportunities, and create a brighter future for those who need it most.
