Give 8/28 is an international day of giving by and for Black communities. Help the Workers Center for Racial Justice meet our goal of raising $3500!

This Give 8/28, stand with us in our mission to build a fair, inclusive society where Black workers and families thrive. As a grassroots organization on the frontlines, we're fighting to eliminate barriers to living-wage employment, end over-criminalization of Black communities, and advance policies that promote economic security and dignity for all.

A growing number of public and private institutions are abandoning their commitments to racial equity amid authoritarian threats. But as an organization founded by and for Black workers and families, WCRJ will never hide who we are, or obscure our mission to gain favor. That’s why we need your help.

At a time when our hard-won rights are at stake, we must show even greater determination to defend one another. We must not forget that power remains in the hands of the people at large - and that means we can't do it without you! Grassroots movements have historically shown that collective action works - together, we can hold decision makers accountable and replace harmful policies with transformative ones.

Your support will help us continue to develop powerful grassroots leaders, provide civic education programming, and mobilize Black voter participation in Illinois, Wisconsin and beyond.

It will help us advance the policies we are fighting for, including:

  • Access to affordable, comprehensive child care for all families
  • An increased minimum wage that keeps pace with the rising cost of living
  • Fewer barriers to housing, employment, education, and more through automated records expungement and sealing, ensuring that all eligible people with old arrest and conviction records can benefit from records relief
  • Economic security through guaranteed income programs that provide no-strings-attached monthly payments to struggling families
  • Funding for the vital social safety net programs our communities rely on

WCRJ is driving real change at the intersection of racial and economic justice. Your generosity will fund our ongoing campaigns to dismantle systemic racism, promote justice reinvestment, and ensure that our communities have the resources and opportunities we deserve.

Donate today to help us reach our $3,500 goal and sustain this critical work!
