Single parents working toward a college degree show amazing strength despite the struggles they face

$4,320

raised by 47 people

For a mere $23 donation today, you can support a true hero -- a single parent enrolled in college. Our participants have made the commitment to their families to forever change the trajectory of their lives by obtaining a college degree. This is no easy commitment as it is accompanied by long days at work followed by hours of classroom time and studying. It is an ongoing daily struggle that most of their children don't recognize. They only see their parents' strength.

Your donation to our Giving Tuesday campaign helps ease our participants' struggle, just a little so that they can remain the true heroes they are in the eye of their children.

Heroes like Susan, who couldn't afford to buy her daughter's favorite snack, carrots, on a recent trip to the grocery store. Your donation would help end food insecurity for our participants and ensure Susan and our other parents can continue to show strength to their children in the face of adversity.

Your $23 gift would mean that Dawn's son Ethan (8) will only remember his mother's strength and not her teary nights as she struggles to balance it all. Her current 12-hour shifts as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner, the clinical requirements, and three-hour-long classes applied toward her Bachelor's degree in Nursing make it difficult for her, "to get ahead." Your donation today eases that struggle and helps motivate our single-parent participants to keep pressing forward until they reach their goal -- graduation.

This Giving Tuesday we encourage you to support a mission that is helping single parents to raise themselves out of a difficult situation and give them the resources to change the trajectory of their family's lives for generations to come.
