Breakthrough's Give 8/28 Campaign

Let's Breakthrough is a global human rights culture change organization that uses media, technology, pop culture and narrative shift strategies to end gender based violence and create a world in which all people live in safety and are free from harm. We approach our work through an intersectional feminist lens that centers the most marginalized among us.

Culture shapes who we are, how we live, and how we understand the world around us; it is then reinforced by how we consume pop culture and media. We have the power to shape and shift culture into an embodiment of the values that ensures the safety of marginalized communities, specifically Black women, girls, femmes, and gender expansive people. So, working in commitment, integrity, and innovation with technological bolstering and elements of on-the-ground action Breakthrough seeks to eliminate the erasure of those who sit outside the margins. 

Over 20 years ago Let's Breakthrough Inc. was founded to inspire people to stand for human rights through storytelling and culture shift narratives as experienced and told by the marginalized community members affected. Currently, President and C.E.O. Nakisha M. Lewis, uses her experience as a philanthropic, political, and community impact strategist, as well as her brilliant leadership in advocacy and disruption to reimagine the power of amplification, the necessity of being a convener, and the impact of creating authentic content to be consumed and shared.
