#Give828 began in 2018 with a vision from YBGB Institute founder, Ebonie Johnson Cooper, to have a giving day dedicated to Black, grassroots nonprofits.

What began with 114 participants and $12,700 collectively raised by the participating nonprofits, has grown into a incomparable approach to  crowdfunding for Black-led and benefiting nonprofits. 

...Now going in to its 8th year, Give 8/28 has raised nearly $1 million for nonprofits across the country who need us most!
