About AfriKin
AfriKin Foundation is where art, culture, and community converge to create lasting change. Rooted in the legacies of Global Africa and the Black World, we believe that creativity is not just an aesthetic practice—it is testimony, remedy, and reclamation. Through exhibitions, performances, conversations, and community engagement, we honor the sacred role of art as a vessel for memory, healing, and transformation.
For more than a decade, AfriKin has stood as a cultural anchor during Miami Art Week/Art Basel, offering a values-driven alternative where creativity meets conscience. Our work provides paid opportunities for artists, mentorship for youth, mental wellness initiatives, and spaces for dialogue around equity and ethical practices in the arts. Each program is designed to inspire, empower, and unite—affirming that art belongs to everyone.
Your donation makes this vision possible. By supporting AfriKin, you are fueling:
Bold exhibitions like Through Creation, We Find Meaning: SCENES From HOME, which elevate 60+ artists from over 30 countries and territories and center healing practices.
Youth mentorship and arts education, creating pathways for future leaders.
Mental wellness through art, embedding practices of care in cultural spaces.
Community access, ensuring programming is free or affordable to the public.
At AfriKin, we affirm that Through Creation, We Find Meaning—and through giving, we create change. On Give Miami Day 2025, join us in making Miami a sanctuary for art that heals, connects, and uplifts.
Communal. Cultural. Ethical.
