The Way Academy

My name is Dr. Charles Williams Jr., and I’m the President and Founder of The WAY Academy, a nonprofit educational organization. The vision God gave me for The WAY Academy is to transform students’ lives, by helping them excel spiritually, academically, and athletically, in a Christ-centered environment. We will do this by remembering John 14:6, and focusing on Jesus, because He is the way, the truth, and life. The Way Academy will be known for providing a private, 6-12, faith-based education to students from all socioeconomic backgrounds, focusing on narrowing the achievement and opportunity gaps that exist. Our goal is to graduate a new generation of leaders that are college and/ or career ready, and highly productive citizens in our community.

I’ve had the pleasure of spending the last 19 years in education, meeting extraordinary students. Some of those students were from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, in a single parent home, in foster care, or homeless. So often they didn’t receive or even know the level of resources they were entitled to. Even until this day, I run into various former students in our community, and they thank me for teaching, coaching, and mentoring them. Coincidentally, they assure me that if I open a school, they would entrust their child’s education to me!

At TWA we welcome all students, where they will receive a rigorous academic, biblically-integrated education.

At TWA we welcome all students, where they will be a part of a physically challenging, and athletically competitive environment. 

At TWA we welcome all students, where they will serve their community, now and in the future.

At TWA, we have what’s called the Warrior Way, and it’s predicated on 7 C’s, which consist of: Community, Character, Compassion, Courage, Confidence, Commitment, and Connected!

I know that I am the one to lead the charge for TWA because of:

• My strong faith in Jesus Christ, and I believe I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

• And I’m a Dad of 3 elementary aged children, I have a passion for them and all children to receive the very best education and all the resources possible!

• I have almost 20 years of experience as an educator; which includes teaching, coaching, mentoring, and educational administration. 

• I’m also a former collegiate athlete that knows what it takes to succeed at the post-secondary level, as I was the first person in my family to graduate college!

• And I’m a relationship builder, as I enjoy working collaboratively with teachers, students, parents, and community leaders.

So please won’t you partner with me and help fund The WAY Academy, as we aim to provide a safe and secure, Christ centered, educational environment, that welcomes all students, and raises them up to be 21st century leaders.
