Our founders' vision was to provide a place that offered a solid educational base so at-risk youth could realize their full potential. While we strive to continue in their footsteps, we are highlighting our athletic programs this year. The Manatee Mustangs Sports Academy teaches our youth sportsmanship, leadership, discipline and a team mentality while keeping them safe and off the streets. This campaign is an appeal to raise funds to purchase various athletic equipment from our current wish list.

The goal of United Community Centers, Inc (UCC) is to provide youth with a solid educational foundation that will lead to a lifelong love of learning - not just academically, but socially and culturally as well. Through age and developmentally appropriate programs, our highly-trained staff and dedicated volunteers encourage, motivate and inspire 1,500 children and youth between the ages of 4-18 every year. We foster hope and generate opportunities for a more rewarding life. We accomplish this through character building curriculum, by cultivating goal-directed behavior and by helping to increase self-esteem, self worth and a strong sense of community pride.

• Scholarships were awarded to 6 class of 2024 graduating high school seniors in partnership with the Drevian J. Mays Memorial Foundation.
• Previously 83% of youth enrolled in our Reading Recovery and Leveled Literacy Intervention program improved their grades in reading and math by at least 1 letter grade.
• We currently have members of our summer camp leadership, teen staff and coaching staff who grew up in our programs. Every year, previous attendees return to continue the mission of Building Dreams and Changing Lives.
