Truly Valued Inc

Truly Valued, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.  Our mission is to promote positive self-esteem, education, confidence and character among at-risk youth.

Truly Valued serves at-risk youth in Manatee and Sarasota Counties, FL, with programs that build character and confidence, promote education and community service, and educate them on avoiding crime, drugs, teen pregnancy, human trafficking, and other negative outcomes. 

Our focus has been teen girls, but recently boys and younger children have joined. We will incorporate full families into our program to strengthen our impact. Many in Sarasota and Manatee Counties are mired in lives of poverty and crime. There are few if any character building programs that include both children and parents beyond churches, and many are not active in a church.

Our impact will be to increase quality of family life and decrease negative outcomes among participants, as measured by surveys and reports from families.

I Am Academy

I Am Academy will include weekly character and confidence building programs for at-risk youth in middle and high school, a parenting program, a summer program, community engagement, and a monthly speaker series (excluding summer) for families. Both use the evidence- based curricula of The Nurturing Parenting Program® also offer a parenting program, Adult Education. 

Community Engagement

E3 (Educate, Enlighten and Empower) - formerly Tea Party 4 Girls

This event allows participants to meet and talk with successful professionals from the community who share their own backgrounds and information about their careers. This program is offered to a wider range of youth throughout the year, allowing us to expand our service as well as to identify new youth to enroll in our weekly program.
