AN EXPERIENCE MADE POSSIBLE BY YOU

This year, True Colors Theatre Company celebrates 20 years of producing rich storytelling that is an honest reflection of you.

  • Your history is retold through the productions on stage
  • Your dreams are fulfilled through education programs that uplift your voice
  • Your life is explored through community programming

Your gifts to True Colors power this work. Personal investments in True Colors are the most meaningful contributions of all because they come from your heart.

TRUE COLORS: AN EXPERIENCE TRUE TO YOU

Atlanta is the heartbeat of Black culture and of True Colors Theatre Company. 20 years ago, Kenny Leon created a theatre that centered Black stories. In doing so, he created a platform for established and new artists’ work. 20 years later, Artistic Director Jamil Jude is making his mark, giving voice to Black playwrights that represent the diversity of the African diaspora and of the many communities that define Blackness. Your gifts create the opportunities to make new art and celebrate existing traditions.

The communities we serve, on stage and off, are our families. We go beyond the stage to explore the themes of upcoming productions at True Talks events at neighborhood gathering spaces. We commission work to celebrate milestones such as the dedication of English Avenue’s Mattie Freeland Park. We bring joy and music into commuters’ lives though the MARTA ArtBound program. You make it possible for all of these programs to be free, and we celebrate your commitment to making True Colors’ art available to all.
