At That’s My Child (TMC), we believe every child regardless of their zip code, background, or current circumstances deserves access to opportunity, support, and a pathway to a successful future. Rooted in community and driven by purpose, TMC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening families, with a strong focus on serving underserved and marginalized communities. Across many communities, especially among Black families experiencing poverty, young people face significant barriers such as: limited access to quality education, lack of safe and enriching environments, and few opportunities for workforce development. These challenges often lead to cycles of hardship that are difficult to break without intentional support and intervention. That’s where we step in.

That’s My Child exists to be the bridge between where our youth are and where they have the potential to go. Through our dynamic programs, we create safe spaces that foster growth, creativity, discipline, and leadership. Our Art and Dance programs provide outlets for self-expression while building confidence and emotional well being. Our Teens to Work Program equips students with real-world skills, mentorship, and hands on work experience in our Teen-ran restaurant that prepares them for long term success. These are not just programs, they are life changing opportunities that shift mindsets and open doors.

In August 2026, we are expanding our impact with the launch of Hope Academy, a Christian-based workforce development school designed specifically for 9th graders. Hope Academy is more than a school it is a movement to redefine education by blending academics with career readiness, entrepreneurship, and character development. Students will graduate not only with knowledge, but with certifications, skills, and a clear vision for their future.

At TMC, we don’t just invest in programs we invest in people. We invest in the student who needs guidance, the parent seeking support, and the community striving for transformation. Our work is deeply personal, community driven, and results oriented.
