SOLE Defined is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization led by Ryan K. Johnson, a 2024 Guggenheim Choreography Fellow, and Quynn L. Johnson, international art-based educator and author. Together, they create immersive performances and innovative arts education programming that puts an exciting twist on percussive dance. They use their bodies as human drums and incorporate technology to advance styles such as Tap, Body Percussion, and Sand Dance, leaving a lasting cultural impact.
