Promoting Healthy Hygiene, While Denouncing Bullying

Dear Project Hygiene Friends,

On August 28, 2025, Project Hygiene, Inc. will proudly join Give 8/28, a national day of giving dedicated to supporting Black-led and Black-benefiting organizations. Give 8/28 is not like other fundraising campaigns—it’s a movement rooted in history, resilience, and community empowerment.

Give 8/28 takes place during Black Philanthropy Month and commemorates multiple historic moments in Black Americans’ march toward freedom. Here are just a few:

August 28, 1945: Major League Baseball President Branch Rickey met with Jackie Robinson to tell him he would be integrating the Majors.
August 28, 2005: Hurricane Katrina made landfall in Louisiana, devastating New Orleans and disproportionately impacting Black residents.
August 28, 2020: We lost our beloved Chadwick Boseman, aka T’Challa.
And on August 28, 2025: YOU joined #Give828 in support of Black self-empowerment through philanthropy!

In 2025, the disproportionate impacts of economic disparities and social injustice continue to affect Black communities, underscoring the vital need for resources to sustain Black-led nonprofits like Project Hygiene, Inc.

Every day, Project Hygiene is on the ground providing:

✅ Project Hygiene Closet Program – distributing toiletries and offering anti-bullying programs throughout the school year.

✅ Toiletry Drives & Box Workshops – ensuring youth have the essentials they need.

✅ Wellness & Empowerment Programs – building confidence and self-worth inside and out.
