That’s where Peace on Patuxent Inc. (POPi) steps in. Founded by Senita Hill, POPi is more than just a sanctuary. It’s a lifeline for women seeking to decompress, recalibrate, and regain control of their lives while facing the challenges of cancer.

POPi is the only minority and woman founded nonprofit of its kind offering free, respite care to women facing life-leveling cancer.

Over 84,000 women are diagnosed with cancer each year in the Baltimore/Washington region. Women of color face greater delays, fewer support options, and higher emotional trauma from the onset of diagnoses.

🌸 What We Offer — at No Cost to Her

We provide a holistic and supportive environment where we offer:

• Two-Day Overnight Retreats – private accommodations, meals, and guided healing
• Day Retreats – peaceful reflection, wellness activities, and rest
• Ambassador Outreach – creating community connections to women in need of POPi's services. 

At POPi, SHE is not asked to be strong. She is not expected to carry anyone else. She is allowed to rest, reflect, and reclaim her peace — without cost or obligation.
