• The Problem

Despite low unemployment rates, more families struggle to make ends meet.

With costs rising faster than wages, the challenge of affording basic necessities has never been greater. 

Sudden or long-term financial insecurity, illness, disasters, and other factors can make households vulnerable, unstable, and at increased risk of food insecurity, unemployment, and even homelessness. 

 Because many have multiple needs, it’s hard to know where to turn.

That's why.... The 1st step in getting help, is knowing where to find it.

We're Part of the Solution

Established in April 2020, Making An Impact Inc. is a social benefit organization recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit. 

Residents can't access services if they don’t know about them. 

Making An Impact empowers and enables residents with information to quickly find the essential services they need.

The number of families needing assistance keeps growing. Our resource guides direct and connect them to available services.

Our guides increase the utilization of other helping organizations and the community's return on investment (ROI) in them.

When more people can find and access basic resources, the better chance they have of living a more productive, healthier, and happier life.

Our Resource Guides

We provide information that helps the homeless find shelter, the hungry find food, the sick find care, the abused find safety, and so much more.

Our resource guides are  one of the area’s most comprehensive, trusted, and widely used references to both:

• Help people in need, and
• Assist the human service organizations, law enforcement agencies, and faith-based institutions who serve them.

 Descriptions and contact information on more than 300 organizations that provide basic need services in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

 Over 5000 printed resource guides are in circulation.

 Thousands view our resource guides online in an easy-to-use searchable web application available in over 20 languages.
