At The Hygiene Hookup, Inc., our mission is to advance positive menstrual hygiene and health outcomes by increasing period product access, delivering reproductive health education, and providing culturally competent wellness programming. We believe that menstruation should never be a barrier to opportunity and that every person deserves to feel informed, empowered, and dignified in managing their health.

Since our founding in 2020, we’ve distributed over 100,000 period products across Baltimore City, ensuring that women and adolescents have the essential items they need. But our work goes far beyond distribution. We host transformative workshops for preteens and teens, where they learn about their changing bodies, reproductive health, and how to care for themselves with confidence and pride.

We also create community spaces that break the silence where taboo topics like menstruation, menopause, puberty, and reproductive health are not only discussed, but embraced. These programs serve as platforms for advocacy, support, and real change; empowering women to make informed decisions about their health and future.

We proudly partner with other organizations in Baltimore that are equally dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. Together, we build a stronger, more supportive network that meets the community where it is and pushes for where it deserves to be.

What makes us different? We are of the community, for the community and we are unafraid to fight for equity in an area often overlooked or dismissed. Menstrual health affects half the population, yet it remains stigmatized. We’re here to change that.
