Healing Vine Harbor (HVH) is a Black-led nonprofit, founded and guided by Executive Director Tracey Questell, a Black woman leader deeply rooted in faith and community. At HVH, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of at-risk women in Charlotte, NC, and the surrounding areas. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to reduce the number of single women living in shelters or unsafe situations by providing a pathway out of poverty to ensure self-sufficiency.

We provide housing relief, emergency financial assistance, mentorship, workforce development, and healing-centered community so that women can move from crisis to stability. Our approach is rooted in kinship—building authentic, lasting relationships based on trust, mutuality, and shared purpose.

Each year, HVH helps women avoid eviction, keep the lights on, continue employment, and access safe housing when they have nowhere else to turn. Beyond meeting urgent needs, we walk with women on their journey toward confidence, resilience, and long-term success. 75% of our program participants achieve stable employment or housing within one year.

By giving through the 828 Campaign, you are investing in Black leadership, in second chances, in dignity, and in the belief that every woman deserves the opportunity not only to survive, but to ascend.
