Ready Syracuse Project

Focusing Our Resources for Community Enlightenment, Inc. (FORCE) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit, without paid staff, located on the Southside of Syracuse in the Cannon Street Community Center.  Our aim is to foster and develop human potential; improve quality of life; and build strong family relations of the poor and disenfranchised. We strive to achieve this by pooling our resources to provide programs and services that demonstrate and inspire collective action. 

We are raising funds to expand the reach of our Ready Syracuse Project and provide scholarships and community outreach for no-cost and low-cost American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification classes and Safe Sitter youth training classes. With your assistance, we can reach community members that would not otherwise have access to/or be able to afford such training. Any donation amount would be appreciated. The costs of $50 per student allows us to purchase workbooks, certification cards, materials and supplies necessary to conduct the classes. (Other local providers typically offer their American Heart Association classes at approximately $95 per student and the Safe Sitter class at $75 per student.)
