Help us celebrate the 100th  anniversary of The Spady House!


Built in 1926, the historical home of Solomon D. Spady, a local educator and civil rights leader, now houses the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum’s exhibits, archives and administrative offices. To raise funds for another 100 years of programs, we invite YOU to give to the 2025 8/28 campaign.
 

The goal? $100,000 or more. Let’s make this the best campaign ever, so we can plan for another 100 years of art, history and culture.


The Spady Museum is the only museum of its kind in Palm Beach County. Located at 170 NW Fifth Avenue in Delray Beach, it is dedicated to showcasing the contributions of members of the African Diaspora to Florida and the U.S. Programs include The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Brunch, exhibitions, historical tours, and educational outreach. We are located in an historic home built and occupied by the family of Mr. Spady in the 1920s through 1950s. We also care for a 1930s craftsman cottage, where we welcome the community to gather. 


Our mission is to expand, preserve, and present the culturally diverse history of the Black communities of South Florida. From empowering youth programs that nurture the leaders of tomorrow to engaging museum visits that celebrate our shared heritage, and community projects that amplify unity, our dedication knows no bounds. Through enlightening workshops, immersive experiences, and so much more, we weave the threads of culture, education, and history together.
