At ESTxHER, we believe no woman should have to navigate life alone.

We started ESTxHER after recognizing a growing need for genuine community and sisterhood among women. Too often, women carry pain, navigate difficult circumstances, and struggle in silence without a safe place to be seen, supported, and encouraged. We also recognized that many of these struggles can begin much earlier in life, which is why our goal is to invest in girls early through healthy community, holistic mentorship, and opportunities to grow in their faith and identity.

Through our initiative Girl PowHER G³, we empower girls through Girlhood, Growth, and God. G³ is designed to help raise confident, faith-filled, and empowered girls.

Our mission is simple: Creating intentional spaces that equip and empower women to heal and grow in their faith through Christ-centered sisterhood.

We bring this mission to life through intentional programming and experiences, including Harmony Huddles, ServiceHER Saturdays, faith-based workshops, mentorship, conferences, and community events. Through these experiences, women and girls can connect, grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and access support and resources to help them move forward with purpose.

Our Founder Story

The Story Behind ESTxHER

ESTxHER was born from a desire to create a space where women could experience true sisterhood in the presence of God.

As a licensed cosmetologist and braider, I had the opportunity to sit with and listen to women from many different backgrounds. Behind the conversations in my chair were women carrying stories of brokenness, loneliness, trauma, and struggles with their faith. They were searching for many of the same things I was healing, freedom, and a deeper relationship with God.

As I listened to their stories, I realized I was carrying their burdens with me. Over time, their stories began to shine a light on wounds I had not fully confronted in myself.

I began to recognize something deeper: these struggles weren't always isolated to one woman. Some of the same pain, patterns, and beliefs were being carried from the women before and the women around.

It was generational….

I took those burdens to God, and He revealed something that changed the way I understood sisterhood:

Our backpacks were one and the same.

The backpacks represented the baggage we were carrying the pain, trauma, disappointment, loneliness, unhealthy patterns, and experiences we had picked up along the way. We each had our own stories, but we were carrying many of the same things.

And I realized: we weren't meant to carry those backpacks alone.

During a season of isolation and pruning, God led me to the story of Esther,a woman who trusted God in a season she didn't fully understand and stepped into her calling for such a time as this.

But before I could help others, God had to do a work in me.

My journey to pursuing Christ made the road to self-discovery rewarding because learning whose you are teaches you who you are. I had to learn to pick up my cross daily and undergo an identity transformation.

God shifted my narrative from an identity crisis to my identity in Christ. He began to free me from the lies that kept me bound to my past, the things I didn't want to face, and the spiritual blindness that kept me from seeing who I was and who I was becoming.

It wasn't always comfortable. But through that process, I began to understand that there is purpose in our pain, and when cultivated through God, that pain can become part of our freedom.And I wanted every woman to have the opportunity to experience that freedom.

With the gift God gave me a heart for generosity and an ability to encourage others through their personal darkness I began to witness something beautiful among the women I encountered. I saw women begin to open up, connect, heal, and experience what I can only describe as revival.

That's when I began to understand that this was bigger than me.

Establishing a relationship with God teaches us that, despite our circumstances, God can use every season to prepare us for moments “for such a time as this.”

Stepping into my calling meant realizing that my obedience could be connected to someone else's breakthrough making me the answer to someone else's prayer.

ESTxHER became an act of obedience.It was birthed from a desire to bring awareness to the importance of healing through sisterhood and tocreate intentional, Christ-centered spaces where women and girls can begin to unpack what they've been carrying, heal in community, grow in their faith, and discover that they don't have to walk through life alone. 

Today, ESTxHER is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to: Healing Journeys. Evolving Communities. Restoring Sisterhood.And this is only the beginning.
