PARTNER WITH CREATIVE NOMADS TO IMPACT YOUTH, FAMILIES, + THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ART!

WHO ARE THE CREATIVE NOMADS?

Creative Nomads is a Black-led, woman-led organization that believes in providing access to the arts to all youth and families as well as supporting arts professionals with tools and resources to create their craft.

We also believe art is the universal expression of our souls and is powerful enough to influence the course of our lives. Art, music, and culture are tools used to build an appreciation of one's humanity and the humanity of others. These tools are not a luxury for some, they are a right for all to be enriched by, engaged with, and enjoyed. Creative Nomads is committed to providing access to art for all.

SCHOOL + COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

In over 8 years we have served over 5000 students and 1000 parents and community members through:

  • African drumming
  • Dance
  • Yoga
  • Visual arts: Family Paint + Community Paint
  • Crafts
  • Music creation
  • Mindfulness workshops
  • Cultural workshops

Since we were founded in 2015, Creative Nomads has designed environments for over 4,000 youth and families to rediscover themselves, for community members to relationship build and connect, and for opportunities for healing to take place. We have partnered with over 30 schools and community organizations to reach community members all over Baltimore including Penn North, Sandtown, Curtis Bay, Moravia Park, Park Heights, and other areas. We have also worked throughout several areas in Maryland and Washington, DC bringing dance, yoga, drumming, visual arts, crafts, and more.   Many schools have budgets stretched thin and art is the first item to be cut when there isn't enough money. With your help, we can partner with more schools to bring an array of art experiences that provide unique ways for youth and families to express themselves, provide fun ways to build community with one another, and provide needed spaces for self-discovery, connection, and healing.

In addition to our work in the schools, we provide experiences like Art In The Park, virtual Kwanzaa Family Paint, and May The Fourth Be With You Star War Family Experience directly to the community. Donations and funding we receive allow us to both provide low to NO COST arts engagements while STILL paying our artists and facilitators fairly. Not only is it important to us to make art accessible to our community, but it is also essential for us to pay those that create art and share their craft good money to support their life and dreams.

We love art AND the artists!

Creative Nomads has built platforms that give arts professionals room to dig deeper inside themselves, network with their peers, and produce art that provides restorative atmospheres for so many. We understand that those who create the art that we consume also need access to resources to elevate their craft. We provide skill-building programs, professional and personal development workshops, and network expansion opportunities to artists actively creating and feeding our souls. To date, we have touched over 250 artists.
