The Sojourner Truth Place

The Sojourner Truth Place (STP) is a Charlotte-based nonprofit that equips businesses, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations with workplace wellness and resilience strategies that reduce burnout, strengthen emotional regulation, improve team performance, and increase long-term sustainability.

We believe that when leaders are healthy, organizations thrive and communities flourish.

Our work intentionally serves two audiences. Through paid Workplace Wellness & Resilience Training, we partner with corporations, healthcare systems, government agencies, universities, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to build healthier, more resilient workplaces. Those earned revenues are then reinvested into our community through the Ground • Grow • Give Back Cohort—a free leadership and organizational capacity-building program for early-stage founders, small nonprofits, and mission-driven leaders, with a special commitment to historically excluded and Black-led organizations.

Participants receive practical training, coaching, wellness tools, peer support, and organizational development resources that help them build stronger organizations while preventing burnout. By investing in the well-being of those who serve others, we strengthen the nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders who are creating lasting change across Charlotte.

Every donation helps expand access to leadership development, resilience training, and capacity-building support so more community leaders have the resources they need to grow sustainable organizations and increase their impact.
