WE ARE CATAPULT

Catapult Greater Pittsburgh empowers families to achieve lasting economic stability through trauma-informed support in financial growth, homeownership, and entrepreneurship.

What does Catapult Do?

Catapult Greater Pittsburgh strives to see program participants attain economic justice. Catapult takes a unique trauma-informed approach to financial education, understanding that exposure to poverty and systemic racism has a significant impact on one’s outcomes and decision making. Catapult’s goal is to build the bandwidth to heal from generational trauma while simultaneously improving economic stability and security at the individual and community levels. As part of these efforts, Catapult is engaged in an ongoing, robust evaluation of its programming effectiveness to lay a foundation for long-term sustainability.

Impact Highlights

91% of program participants report increased confidence and reduced stress in managing their finances.

Over 300 minority owned businesses have launched or grown through culinary and retail-based training and incubation,

gaining skills and access to new markets and opportunities.

Over 5,000 individuals have engaged in trauma informed financial counseling.

We have granted over $300,000 of closing cost assistance to over 65 first time home buyers.

We have completed over $700,000 worth of critical home repairs for mostly senior homeowners to stay safely in their property.
