The Academy of Goal Achievers (TAOGA) (serving Mecklenburg, Union, and Anson Counties in North Carolina) empowers underserved communities by developing youth leaders and preparing students and parents for post-secondary and career success through a two-generational approach. In just 11 years, TAOGA has impacted over 8,000 lives, supported students in securing more than $10 million in scholarships, and achieved an impressive 93% post-secondary success rate. We are the solution to increase economic mobility for low-income, underserved communities and mislabeled high school students, while providing services that allow us to make a multi- generational impact. Our core services include:

  • Group Mentoring
  • Career Coaching
  • Cohort Skill-Building Classes
  • Parental Education Sessions
  • Community-Based Outreach Services

Founded by Courtnie Coble, with the vision of equipping youth and young adults with the tools, support, and confidence to set and achieve their goals, TAOGA has spent over a decade removing barriers to college and career opportunities. We aim to ensure that our Goal Achievers reach their goals and become productive citizens in society, having been exposed to information, provided resources to encourage individual and community goal completion, supported through mentorship, and given access to opportunities.

As TAOGA continues to grow generationally, we are focused on deepening our core mentoring program while expanding community-based programming to reach more students and eliminate barriers within the college and career space.
