This year‘s Give 8/28 campaign theme for Dementia Dignified Academy focuses on providing scholarships for caregivers who care for someone who is living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias.
This scholarship will give caregivers the opportunity to learn how to care for a person with this disease with compassion, love, dignity, respect, and more, using a person-centered and non-pharmacological approach.
Those who complete this training become certified Dementia Connection Specialists (DCS) and will be well-informed and confident in caring for someone with this challenging disease - Alzheimer’s or other dementias. We are proud to offer scholarships to as many caregivers as possible through the efforts of this campaign.
