Who We Are 

The Welcome Home Foundation is a dedicated organization focused on addressing homelessness and housing insecurity in Monmouth County, New Jersey. We are committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to individuals and families in need, helping them transition from homelessness to stability. Our work involves collaboration with local organizations, property managers, landlords, and community members to create a network of support for those we serve. 

What We Do 

Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. offers a range of programs to support the unhoused community, focusing on housing navigation, employment, financial empowerment, and long-term stability. Our Roots to Stability program provides employment services, including resume workshops, interview prep, and etiquette counseling, while our Good Soil Bible Study offers spiritual guidance. We emphasize financial literacy through community initiatives and one-on-one coaching, helping individuals build financial independence. Our New Leaf Initiative assists housed clients with furnishings and essentials to help them establish a stable home. Through strategic partnerships, advocacy, and workforce development, we empower individuals to thrive, not just survive, breaking cycles of homelessness and fostering self-sufficiency.

Through partnerships with local organizations, we also ensure clients have access to moving supports such as security deposits and first-month rent assistance. We continue to walk alongside our clients long after they’ve secured housing, providing ongoing support, retention services, and mediation between landlords and tenants. With regular check-ins and tailored follow-up, we ensure that every client is not only housed but thriving.

Our Niche

At the Welcome Home Foundation, our niche is bridging the gap between individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness and the property owners, landlords, and managers who can help open the door to stability.

We serve people who are often missed by traditional programs; those newly unhoused, voucher holders, navigating crisis, or stuck between systems that weren’t built for flexibility. Some don’t qualify for assistance but still need someone in their corner. That’s where we come in.

Our approach is client-led, relationship-driven, and rooted in reality. We work from the inside out, supporting each person as they take ownership of their housing journey. Every client engages in one-on-one budgeting, strategy sessions, and honest conversations about what stability means to them. We don’t just find housing; we help people find the right fit, and make sure it’s sustainable.

At the same time, we maintain strong, ongoing relationships with landlords and property stakeholders across New Jersey. We serve as a bridge, building trust, addressing concerns, and stepping in where public systems often fall short. That includes advocating for clients, coordinating with housing authorities, and troubleshooting when communication breaks down.

We don’t place people just to place them. We intentionally match, walking alongside both tenants and landlords and making sure support continues long after the keys are handed over. Our motto is “It takes a village”, because no single person or organization can end homelessness alone, but together, we can make a real difference.

WHF serves as the nucleus of that village, the steady connection point for our clients, ensuring that whenever they need help, they have someone to turn to and a clear path to the support they need.
