The Women's Equity Center and Action Network (WE CAN) is building the civic leadership and collective power of women of color.

We believe no one understands our communities better than the women who hold them together. Every day, women of color solve problems, care for families, strengthen neighborhoods, and navigate the public systems that shape our lives. Yet too often, their knowledge and leadership are missing from the decisions that affect their communities.

WE CAN exists to change that.

Through leadership development, civic education, community organizing, storytelling, and advocacy, WE CAN helps women recognize their own power, develop the skills to create change, and work together to build healthier communities and more responsive public systems.

We envision a future where every woman who joins WE CAN leaves believing:
