Who We Are 

Established in 2020, Pathways To Excellence, Incorporated (Pathways2X) is a Maryland based nonprofit (501c3) with a mission to empower underrepresented individuals to achieve their full potential by providing charitable and educational programming and resources. Through innovative workforce development, entrepreneurship support, and leadership programs, we advance educational, professional, and developmental opportunities, creating equitable pathways to success and prosperity for underserved communities.

Vision

Pathways To Excellence, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization committed to fostering equitable access and support in two key areas: workforce development and entrepreneurship. With a focus on inclusivity and empowerment, we strive to create a more equitable landscape for workforce advancement and entrepreneurial success. By offering a comprehensive suite of programs, including virtual summits, symposiums, self-paced career readiness training, and accelerator programs, we aim to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to excel in their careers and entrepreneurial endeavors.

Our signature women’s programming offers year-round support focused on career advancement, leadership development, and business acumen. Our innovative ROADMAP program for youth offers essential guidance in career exploration and entrepreneurship, laying the foundation for post-secondary success. Our virtual support programs, including the Maryland Career Pathways Virtual Summit & Expo, provides skills enhancement training and career connection opportunities for jobseekers and career changers; additionally, through our on-demand resources, we offer a signature 6-week career readiness course to ensure ongoing education and skill-building opportunities for all participants.

Highlight: New Start Entrepreneurship Program

Further expanding our commitment to inclusive economic empowerment, we are proud to offer the New Start Entrepreneurship Program, a comprehensive entrepreneurship development initiative specifically designed for justice-involved individuals in the DMV. We believe that past challenges should not dictate future potential. Through this transformative program, participants receive rigorous business skills training, one-on-one executive mentoring, and critical wraparound support services to help them successfully launch and sustain their own ventures. The initiative culminates in a dynamic Business Pitch Competition, giving participants the platform to pitch their visions and secure vital financial assistance toward their new businesses, alongside direct connections to accessible, barrier-free microloan opportunities. By equipping returning citizens with the essential tools and capital needed to become successful business owners, the New Start Entrepreneurship Program dismantles systemic barriers to reentry and builds lasting community prosperity.
