Ishango

Ishango Foundation cultivates the genius of African youth by creating opportunities to learn, make, explore, and innovate. Through hands-on STEM education, early childhood learning, workforce development, and community programs, Ishango connects African heritage with creativity, technology, and the skills needed for the future.

Based in the United States and working in Togo, West Africa, Ishango focuses on expanding access to meaningful learning experiences for children and young people who have historically had limited access to resources, technology, and enrichment opportunities.

From robotics and maker activities to early childhood education and youth workforce development, Ishango creates spaces where young people can build confidence, solve problems, discover their talents, and see themselves as creators—not simply consumers—of knowledge and technology.
